    Agricultural potassium nitrate is commonly known as chlorine-free potassium compound fertilizer, which refers to a chemical fertilizer containing 13.8% nitrogen and 46.6% potassium oxide. With high solubility, its active components nitrogen and potassium can be quickly absorbed by crops without chemical residues. As a fertilizer, it is suitable for vegetables, fruits and flowers, and some chlorine-sensitive crops (such as potatoes, strawberries, beans, cabbage, lettuce, peanuts, carrots, Onions, blueberries, tobacco, apricots, grapefruit and avocado, etc.).
    Industrial potassium nitrate is an inorganic compound, it’s chemical formula is KNO3. It is a nitrate containing potassium, colorless transparent rhombic crystal or rhombic crystal or white powder, odorless, non-toxic, salty and cool feeling. Not easy to absorb moisture and caking, easily soluble in water, soluble in liquid ammonia and glycerin, insoluble in anhydrous ethanol and ether. oxidizable, friction or impact with organic matter can cause combustion or explosion. The product is pungent, little toxicity, but harmful to the human body. It is used as cosolvent in ceramic industry,  oxidant and raw material for the preparation of enamel powder, and defoamer, decolorization, clarifying agent and oxidation cosolvent in glass industry .

It is solid at standard temperature and atmospheric pressure, and changes to liquid phase after temperature increased, and become a high temperature heat flow accumulator which has the advantages of good heat transfer performance, low working pressure, wide liquid temperature range, high operating temperature, low cost, safety and reliability, etc. It is a very promising high temperature heat transfer and heat storage working medium.
    High temperature heat transfer of molten salt has been applied in nuclear power, solar thermal power generation and high temperature process industry. In addition, the large-scale heat storage of molten salt can also have a good prospect in the fields of electric energy storage independent molten salt heat storage power station,peak regulation for heat storage in thermal power plant , mobile heat storage, high-temperature intermittent waste heat utilization, off-peak electric heating molten salt heat storage heating and so on. In recent years, molten salt heat transfer and storage technology has been widely used in solar thermal power generation and high temperature industrial processes.
