Tastes bitter and salty, soluble in water and liquid ammonia, slightly soluble in glycerin and ethanol, easy to deliquesce, especially when containing little sodium chloride impurity, its deliquescence is substantially raised. When dissolved in water and cooled, the solution solution turns neutral.
