Molten salt is the fusant of Nitrates-based molten salt (60% sodium nitrate and 40% Potassium Nitrate) ,It is composed of cations and anions. It is solid at standard temperature and atmospheric pressure, and changes to liquid phase after temperature increased, and become a high temperature heat flow accumulator which has the advantages of good heat transfer performance, low working pressure, wide liquid temperature range, high operating temperature, low cost, safety and reliability, etc. It is a very promising high temperature heat transfer and heat storage working medium.
High temperature heat transfer of molten salt has been applied in nuclear power, solar thermal power generation and high temperature process industry.
