    The molecular formula of boric oxide is B₂O₃ . It is produced by Dehydrating the industrial boric acid.High purity boric oxide generally appears in two forms, one as a glassy piece and the other as a white powder.
    Main applications :

    Generally the product is commonly used as a flux in glass industry, because it can reduce the material melting temperatures , and increase its thermal resistance and mechanical strength. It plays an important role in glass making process.it can also enhance aqueous and chemical durability in various glass formulations. 

    The product is used as a flux in silicate decomposition and enamel industries, as a dopant in semiconductor materials, as a refractory additive in flame ware and paint, used for the production of alloy steel in metallurgical industry , as a catalyst for organic synthesis, as an additive for high-temperature lubricants, and as a chemical reagent., as raw materials for boron compound manufacturing, as doping source in color TV manufacturing, as fluxing agent for silicate decomposition. It is the raw material for boron and fine boron chemical products and boron compounds.

    When used in Ceramics, Enamels, and Glazes, it can help improve fit, luster, durability, and chemical resistance.In Chemical industry, it is used to produce various borates, such as sodium borohydride, ammonium hydrogen borate, cadmium borotungstate, potassium borohydride and so on.

    In Pharmaceutical industry, it is used in the production of boric acid ointment, disinfectant, astringent, preservative and so on.Electronic grade boric acid is widely used as flame retardants, metallurgical additives, Industrial Fluids and Lubricants , leather deashing agents, etc.
